The Myth about the List

State agencies sometimes refer to a state contract as an “approved vendor list” because agencies are required to make their purchases from vendors on current state contracts.

When a vendor calls inquiring how they can do business with your agency please refer them to the DAS Procurement website at
http://das.ct.gov/Director.aspx?page=8 and have them click on “Doing Business with the State of Connecticut”.

The DAS site will give them The Facts…

The facts are, all vendors must participate in the competitive solicitation process to be awarded a state contract.
